The three packs of foxhounds which today form the Old Surrey Burstow & West Kent Hunt all date back to the 18th century. Records show that the Old Surrey were a recognised pack in 1750 and it was not until 1915 that they amalgamated, due to both packs experiencing Bfinancial difficultiesC, with The Burstow, who had been a harrier pack until 1866 when they changed to hunting foxes.
